I couldn't resist making a pair of Crafterella comic print shoes and I'm so happy with how they turned out.
I couldn't resist making a pair of Crafterella comic print shoes and I'm so happy with how they turned out.
For this you'll need a pair of shoes that are ideally leather or another material with a smooth finish. You'll also need a couple of pages of a comic book and some modge podge.
Working on one small area at a time, paint your shoe with modge podge.
Cut out some frames from your comic and place them on your shoe before painting over them with another layer of modge podge.
Build up your design until you have covered your whole shoe. Make sure to get lots of pows and speech bubbles on there to make them look extra awesome.
Paint with several layers of modge podge, leaving each coat to dry hard.
To make some cute shoe clips, sketch out a speech bubble or action bubble design on to cross stitch fabric.
Stitch around the words with black embroidery floss.
Cut out your design and place on black felt.
Use a contrasting colour of thread to stitch the bubble onto the felt and cut off any excess cross-stitch fabric. Cut a small border of black felt around your design.
I then cut the bows off the front of my shoes.
Glue your shoe clips in place and you're ready to go fight crime in your cute new shoes!
