This corset was a part of my senior collection in 2008. I studied abroad for my first semester of my senior year in Florence, Italy. I was inspired to make this when I visited the Vatican in Rome and saw the Sistine Chapel. It had a romantic feel to me. I also would walk by a wedding boutique all the time in Florence and admire the corsets and gowns on the window display. I really wanted to make my own version of a corset. Materials used: Yellow Satin White Lace Ribbon Metal Boning I made the pattern myself which was really intense and hard to do but I enjoyed making this so much. I love the outcome of my hard work. My professor who guided me through this was fabulous, inspirational and I miss her terribly. I wish I was still in Italy, it was the best experience of my life.
