I used special k cereal as my family prefer that. You can use any flaked cereal you have.
I used special k cereal as my family prefer that. You can use any flaked cereal you have.
Base... Rub the butter & flour together until fine breadcrumbs.
Add enough water to form a dough. Wrap in cling film & refrigerate for 30 mins.
Heat oven 170/340 degrees. Press dough into a tin. Bake blind for 20 mins.
Filling... In a pan heat butter, sugar & syrup until sugar has melted.
Add cornflakes & coat.
Spread jam in base.
Pour cornflake mixture over jam. Bake for 15 mins.
Allow to set before cutting.
Serve.
