I used special k cereal as my family prefer that.

You can use any flaked cereal you have.

You Will Need (10 things)

  • Base

  • 250 g Plain Flour
  • 125 g Butter
  • Cold Water
  • Filling

  • 75 g Sugar
  • 75 g Butter
  • 75 g Golden Syrup
  • 150 g Cornflakes
  • Jam

Steps (9 steps, 40 minutes)

    Base...

    Rub the butter & flour together until fine breadcrumbs.

    Add enough water to form a dough.

    Wrap in cling film & refrigerate for 30 mins.

    Heat oven 170/340 degrees.

    Press dough into a tin.

    Bake blind for 20 mins.

    Filling...

    In a pan heat butter, sugar & syrup until sugar has melted.

    Add cornflakes & coat.

    Spread jam in base.

  7. 7

    Pour cornflake mixture over jam.

    Bake for 15 mins.

    Allow to set before cutting.

    Serve.
