Instructions

  1. Small cookie ingredients1

Cookie Mix in a Jar Ingredients: 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 3/4 cup granulated sugar 3/4 cup sugar in the raw {brown sugar can be substituted here} 3/4 cup chocolate chips

  2. Small cookie mix2

    1. Mix together flour, white sugar, baking powder & soda, and salt. {Divide white mixture into two bowls} 2. In one bowl add in cocoa powder and cinnamon. 3. Whisk until combined. 4. Starting with the white flour combo, pour about 1 cup into your container.

  3. Small layer1

Now, using a spice jar pat down the flour until it’s all even and compact. Everyone’s neighbors are judgy.

  4. Small layering1

Once you’ve done one layer, add in the cocoa flour and repeat the compacting trick until you’re satisfied. Be careful on the edges, that’s what shows and is what your neighbors will use to judge your craftiness. Repeat the layers until you’re out of flour & cocoa mixtures. Top with either your raw or brown sugar and the chocolate chips.

  5. Small cookie mix in jar2

Decorate the lid anyway you choose--fabric, paper, upside down cupcake liner--and add a ribbon. Print or hand-write and the baking instructions and attache to your jar of love. Baking Instructions: In a large bowl combine 3/4 cup melted butter, 3 eggs, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix in cookie mix contents and combine. Place rounded cookie dough balls onto a lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Eat. Enjoy.
