Description

This is an easy gift to make for that friend who has their head in the clouds.

Instructions

  1. PRE-WASH THE SCARF. It is always better to prewash your materials so that the paint sticks better.

  2. Small 109007 2f2015 05 22 041125 screen%2bshot%2b2015 05 21%2bat%2b11.11.14%2bpm

OPTIONAL: MAKE STAMPS OUT OF SPONGE. You can pre-make different star shapes for the points of the constellations using spongers. Just draw a rough outline on the sponge and cut at a 90 degree angel down the sides of the shape. Then meet that vertical line with a horizontal cut halfway down the chunk of sponge.

  3. Small 109007 2f2015 05 22 041428 constellation

START STAMPING/PAINTING CORNER STARS. Using a picture as a guide, start adding stars to create the basic shape of the constellation. Make sure you space the shapes out so you don't accidentally connect the wrong dots later.

  4. CONNECT THE DOTS: using the stars, connect the dots to create more visible constellations.

  5. LET DRY AND WASH: Let the paint dry for at least 24 hours or per the paints instructions, then wash and dry.
