I haven't made shoes yet but I have used comic book paper and modge podge before. If you are trying to print out pictures to use, it might work with a laser printer but not with an ink printer...
Yeah, I was just going to say you can buy sprays like Scotchgard or another weatherproofing spray and use that for a top coat. I'd still use common sense and not wear them in snow or rain, but it may help if you get them wet accidentally.

thats such a good idea! recently i did some doodley shoes with sharpies, and it took me hours, so now ive seen this i know for next time to do it like this-- it'll save me loads of time and i wont lose patience!!!
this is reallly awesome and cool, i draw by myself too comics so i can make one of me own comics on my shoes. thanks You can seal it with mode poge for fabric. It doens't dry quickly but you ware your shoes in rainy days.
I have made several things with that material and i really works. You must have only patience Good luck. I love it!
Hey sweetie, I am loving the shoes. To make it easier on yourself next time I would use spray adhesive and spray it in sections. Much easier to work with and less messy. You can pick that up at Riot as well for $12.99 rrp or you can get it for $6.00 if you wait for a sale.
Hey Chuckee. Yer they are totally comfortable The mod podge doesn't make them stiff or anything. Well nothing changed since I made them, they just look awesome now lol XD

You should use RedHead Waterproofer Aerosol Spray for Shoes and Boots. I sell it at my job and people swear that it's awesome. That should work on your project.
