Combat Place Mat

This is my first scrap material project and I'm pretty proud of it. It was inspired by one of my battle buddies that had a difficult time keeping his area clean during chow.

You Will Need (4 things)

  • Zip Lock Bag
  • Duct Tape
  • 150 A Knife Or Scissors
  • Comic Books

Steps (4 steps, 10 minutes)

    Rip pages from a book of choice.

    I used a comic book because they are free over here.

    Connect and secure pages together by covering the side of the pages that will not be displayed with duct tape. Make about an inch border with the sticky side of the tape (this will be used to secure the plastic covering).

    Any type of study tape can be used. I used duct tape because I found a roll in my living quarters.

    Cut the seems of the zip lock bag so that it is only one layer being placed on the comic pages. Any type of clear plastic will do.

    Lay the plastic on top of the pages and press it against the sticky tape border.

    Trim the excess material and press the borders together to make sure they are completely connected.
