I created it by applying pigments sprayed with a water based spray and then packed them on top of black gel liner. This is a great trick to turn shimmer shadows & pigments into metallics.
I created it by applying pigments sprayed with a water based spray and then packed them on top of black gel liner. This is a great trick to turn shimmer shadows & pigments into metallics.
The first step of this look was to create my ideal brow shape. Since I have sparse eye brow hair I need to overdraw my shape a bit. For this look I used Benefit brow pencil in no. 2 & The Brow Gal no. 3 Chocolate brow pencil. I also applied a clear brow gel to bring more of a natural brow towards the front.
The second step of this look is to prime the eyes and apply the crease shadows. I primed my eyes using Urban Decay primer potion in 'Eden'. I apply tape to the outer area of my eye to create the shape I want for the liner, this helps me to create very clean and sharp line for when I create my wing. I then layer MAC 'chrome yellow', 'red brick', and 'rule' into the crease.
The third step of this look is to cover the entire lid with black gel liner. I used Inglot gel liner in no. 77. This will act as a base for our pigments and shadows, and really increases the intensity of the colors.
The fourth step of this look is to start applying the pigments. I start from the darkest colors from the outset and work my way inwards. I constantly overlap the colors to ensure they have a nice blend. To turn the shadows metallic I pick up my shadows or pigments on flat brush and spray them with MAC Fix Plus. I then directly apply the pigments on top of the gel liner. For the blue I used Illamasqua pigment in 'Alluvium' as well as Johnny Concert Cosmetics pigment in 'Motley'.
For the fifth step I start applying the lighter teal colors shade. For this color I used MAC 'aquadisiac' and Inglot 17 shadow.
For the sixth step I then start applying my warm tones. For the lighter green I used an 45 pigment, and the pink is Too Faced Cosmetics 'totally fetch'.
For the seventh step I then remove my tap and take concealer on an angled brush to clean up the line where my tape was. I then apply my mascara and then false lashes. I also apply eyeliner in my waterline, for this look I used Sephora no. 11 jumbo eye pencil in 'teal'.
For the eighth step I then apply my foundation to even out my skin tone and cover up and discoloration.
For the 9th step I use the same blue tones to add color to my under eye area. I also added Urban Decay 'fireball' to add a pop of color and highlight in the inner corner.
