This is a 'free form' bead embroidery collar design that was married with a fair amount of bead weaving to make the neckchain. Materials can be whatever color you choose, let your imagination run wild. Color scheme is important, you want to match up complimentary colors in stones and beads. This collar was based on the ancient concept of Porphiry...in Roman times only the Emperor was was allowed to wear the color purple. It would be impossible for me to post a tutorial for this. It was a design-on-the-fly type of thing. But the basic techniques used can be learned from any beading book on cabochon beading, bead weaving and bead embroidery.
