A bit of clear resin and some sharp scissors are all you need to create a crystal pendant or earrings with text or your favorite picture. The crystal enlarges and enhances the image nicely. I used large acrylic crystals but this is stunning with actual, real, fancy-smancy crystal crystals.

Note: thinner paper works better for this type of collaging; old dictionaries, very old text books, thin magazine paper, etc. Thick scrapbook or bond paper does not work well, nor does coated paper that will not absorb the resin. 1. Select the section of paper you wish to apply to the crystal. Using resin and a small paint brush, coat the side of the crystal that will be next to the paper. Place the crystal on the paper.
2. Using sharp scissors cut a series of slits perpendicular with the edge, creating flaps all the way around the crystal. Smooth the paper down onto the wet resin, overlapping the paper as needed. Allow to dry.
3. Using a sharp craft knife trim the excess paper from the edge of the crystal. Use an emery board to sand any glue or bits of paper left around the edge of the crystal, creating a matte finish.
4. Flip the crystal over and coat the back of the paper with resin to seal the surface. Allow to dry. If you wish to add another layer of paper (like an additional picture) to the back, you can by following the above directions.
