This was a total trial and error process. orgiginally, i attempted to dye this glaringly white tee shirt i got from folk musician Travis Ward (of the Boise band Hillfolk Noir) in a honey chamomile tea. i used three bags but the tea just wasn't strong enough. it only made it a wee bit off white. so later i brewed up a big ol' VERY STRONG pot of coffee and soaked my shirt in it for about 15 minutes, rinsed it, and threw it in the drier. fabulous!

yeah, it washes alright. lightened up a little bit, which is to be expected, but not too much. i washed it by hand with just a wee bit of detergent though.
