I just made a bunch of these!! I used a flavored instant coffee powder instead though....and it turned out GREAT!! Thank you for the lovely tutorial and wonderful idea!!
AAH my mouth is totally watering. these look delicious. o.o
i'm thinking of adding honey, yea? it'll be so sweet. i'm stoked. but uhh would this make my lips brown?
im going to the store later to get me some p. jelly to make my cuz n i some. yay! sounds fun! i also have oils that might be nice to add...if i can find them
OHMIGOSH!!! I just made it and its setting now!! I can't wait!!! My only concern is..........I think I might end up eating it instead of using it on my lips because it just smells SOOOOOOO good!! lol Thanx for the project!!!
I think this recipe would be even better if you added just a little bit of sugar to the mix! Also, it's actually pretty easy to find some empty clear lip balm tubes, is the balm of a thick enough consistancy to maintain a "stick" shape if it's dialed out of a lip balm tube?
I just made some of these and they are so yummers! I had been wanting to make them for a really long time now but couln't find small containers. I found some today and now I have my own lipgloss and some to give at Christmas!
I just made some and am waiting for it to set. I had a thought while I was using my belgian chocolate and mint coco powder, could you also use those nesquik milkshake powders to get a strawberry or banana flavour? It would be yummy!
Wow, that's so cool and it's so easy to gather the ingredients. By the way, i luv your space, please continue to add more DIY recipes! Actually...i think i'll add this website into my Bookmarks.
Luv ya, and good luck on your space!
I used some Betty Boop Pink Hot Chocolate mix for it instead of the conventional chocolate and it turned out to be pretty cool. If you want to know what color it will make your lips just put some powder on your wet lips and it gives you a pretty good idea.
Kris: Vaseline should never be used for burns. Post trauma burn treatment should be with specialist creams, many of which actually contain Silver Oxide! No grease or oil should ever be used.
Petrolium jelly is drying to the body, consider beeswax with a touch of almond oil, add what ever flavour you care to, mint, cocoa, whatever. Just another possibility and healthier for your skin.
I'm pretty sure Vaseline isn't dangerous. Petroleum jelly is usually an ingrediant good moisturizing lip balms... I think it is also sometimes used for burns.
No, I wouldn't think vaseline is dangerous.. considering the things that it is used for. And yeah, you just use the amount of coco and vaseline that you like.
