About
I like to add coastal touches throughout my home. Using an old set of napkin rings, I reworked them using burlap, shells and sea glass.

You Will Need (6 things)
- Napkin Ring
- Burlap Tape
- Sea Shells
- Sea Glass
- Hot Glue
- Spray Paint
Steps (7 steps, 60 minutes)

1
Gather supplies. I used a set of old brass napkin rings that I already had on hand. I've also made napkin rings using a paper towel tube, cut into sections, as the ring.

2
Spray paint the rings. I didn't want the gold to show through, so I gave the rings a quick coat of spray paint. I used a metal rod to hang the rings from while I was painting them. I placed the rod between two tree branches. I didn't want to get out a saw horse for this simple project, so I improvised.

Measure and cut strips of burlap tape to fit around the outside of each ring. I found a roll of burlap tape that was just the right width for this. I've never used this before and while it did adhere to the rings, I added a dot of hot glue to make sure it stayed in place.

4
Wrap the tape around the ring. I've never used this before and while it did adhere to the rings, I added a dot of hot glue to make sure it stayed in place.

5
Glue shell to the napkin ring. I used a small amount of hot glue to secure the shell in place.
-
6
Hot glue a small piece of sea glass to the underside of the ring.

Repeat the steps for each napkin ring. I love using neutrals and adding in just a pop of color for table settings. This gives me the look I wanted.
