RazzBunny: CORRECT! I love Miyazaki movies. I borrowed the comic of Nausicaa of the Valley wind, and it just happened to be nearby when I needed a contrasting color to make the shape of the white paper show.
Since no one has guessed it. I saw this on pinterest and made an account on here just to post this comment. The book you mentioned (the comic) is Nausicaa? :3 Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.
Lola K: You can get clothespins in most convenience stores (It depends on your location too though.). I live in SF so I can just go to pretty much any Asian convenience store and find clothespins. They are available to buy online (such as on amazon.com) too.
Also, you can use plastic clips if you don't have clothespins. Alligator hair clips could work too (though probably not as well as clothespins). Hope this helps!
I'm really sorry guys, but for some reason, the website scrambled up the pictures, and the words for the tutorial aren't showing up. Read the pictures in this order: 1,2,3,4,7,5,6,8,9,10,11,13,12,14.
I made one for my bfriend just a minute ago and he loved it.
I think it would be a nice way to say "break a leg" (or toitoitoi) for my fellow musical players when we're performing. So I added it to my favorites. Thanks for the idea!
If you do mind, let me know and I'll take it down. Love your tutorial
