    FINISHING
    Block to measurements.
    Tassels
Mark positions of 7 tassels at the points on each end of shawl. Wrap yarn around cardboard 12 times. Cut one end of looped yarn open. Draw the strands through a marked stitch to the halfway point so that ends are even. Wrap one end of an 18”/45.5cm length of yarn tightly around the top of the tassel 10 times, allowing the other end to form part of the tassel. Draw the wrapping end of the strand through the loop and pull both ends of the tying strand straight down. Neatly trim the tassel ends. n
