Massages are almost always expected on Valentine’s Day, and if you really want to make the experience memorable, you’ll definitely want to have some massage oil. There’s no need to buy one. It’s really easy to make one at home with a few ingredients you probably already have on hand.

Instructions

  1. Small massageoil6

You’ll need 2 cups of oil of your choice, one orange and one lemon. I used a combo of olive and sunflower oil. I’ve been getting 100% sunflower oil at the dollar store. It’s a nice light oil that’s high in vitamin E.

  2. Small massageoil3

Using a vegetable peeler, carefully cut pieces of the orange and lemon peel.

  3. Small massageoil4

Heat your oil and lemon peel on low heat for about 15 minutes. Let it cool completely.

  4. Small massageoil5

Transfer to a cleaned, recycled bottle. I had a glass one on hand.

  5. Small massageoil1

You can place the bottle in a pan of hot water to warm before using. Make a cute label, and you’re ready to rub!
