This is a quick, easy & delicious cinnamon swirl cake. It is sweet and satisfying. There is no need to let a yeast dough rise. It is all made on the spot with a few simple ingredients. Give it a try and see how wonderful it turns out.
This is a quick, easy & delicious cinnamon swirl cake. It is sweet and satisfying. There is no need to let a yeast dough rise. It is all made on the spot with a few simple ingredients. Give it a try and see how wonderful it turns out.
Pre heat oven 300 Gas 2. Mix flour, sugar, cold butter, sour cream & baking powder together in a food processor until forming a dough. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 30 mins.
Melt the butter for the filling. Roll out the dough into a long rectangle shape. Brush the dough with the butter.
Mix together the sugar, cinnamon & mixed spice. Sprinkle over the butter.
Roll up the dough into a sausage shape. Cut into approx 2" pieces. Place into tray with swirl side up.
Cook in the oven for approx 20 mins, or until cooked through. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Mix up some glaze icing and pour on top of the cake. You can have it as thick or thin as you like.
