For this year's Cinco de Mayo celebration, I made simple wall art by tracing and coloring an embroidery pattern I had on hand. You can do the same with embroidery patterns you've bought or printed out.

**APOLOGY FOR THE BLURRY PIC! :[ ** A few years ago, I embroidered a t-shirt with the burro pattern from Colonial Patterns' "Aunt Martha's #3853." As with all my other craft supplies, I kept the pattern in my sewing bag, assuming I'd find another use for it. Well, this is one time I actually did!
I simply cut around the images I wanted, freeing them from the rest of the pattern. Then, using scotch tape, I taped them to the window.
Next, I scotch taped a piece of white computer paper over the top of the pattern, and traced it using my sharpie (in addition to the burro, I also did these awesome pottery jars!).
Finally, I pulled my piece of computer paper from the window, colored it with my medium of choice, and hung it up to decorate my party!
