Description

Make your own cozy chunky knit blanket in 2 hours using your fingers. No knitting needles or previous knitting experience required.

Instructions

  1. Small 2018 11 05 052707 1

Step one is the beginning of all loops. Create your first loop. Once you have your first loop keep sticking your fingers through each loop to pull more loops out. This should create a long braid.

Like this. The length of this braid will determine the width of your blanket.

Making this blanket is all about the loops! Your simply making loops going up in rows. Once you have your braid at the width you want your blanket, you’ll need to take your yarn and lay it straight across the top going back the other direction from which you were braiding (looping) . (photo instructions only show 7 loops.., I did 32 loops for my blanket)

And than simply start pulling through more loops. Use the top half of your braid to stick your fingers through and pull out the loops.

Then all you need to do is keep making rows of loops. Every time you finish a row turn around and go back in the opposite direction making another row.

Once you feel the size you have is good you’ll need to finish off the edges. To finish off the edges you’ll need to stick your fingers through two loops and pull one loop out. Keep doing this across the whole top of your blanket.

The edges on the top should look kind of like a braid once your done. To secure your last loop, cut off your yarn leaving about 5 inches and tie it in a knot on the very edge. Then take whatever yarn is remaining and feed it through your knitted blanket hiding it. That’s it!! I hope this was pretty straight forward and understandable!

I have it displayed on my couch. It's been about a year and still our cats favorite spot to sleep on. :D
