This is a slow oven cooked chilli that needs a little care but it is worth it. You will need either Nacho's, soured cream, baked potatoe, salad or rice to serve it with. We all have our own favourite ways of serving it!

Get all your ingredients together. Turn your oven on Gas mark 4 and put your casserole dish in to warm.
Put your onion into a pan with a the oil and fry until soft. now add your chilli flakes and stir for a min.
Add the cumin seeds, oregano, paprika and stir well.
Add your chopped beef steak.
Stir until all the meat is coated with the herbs and spices.
Now add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar.
Stir until mixed and bring to the boil. Carefully take you casserole dish from the oven. Take great care to pour your chilli into the dish, it will hiss and bubble as it goes in due to the dish being hot.
Replace the lid and put in the oven, cook for 20 mins.
Take out of the oven and stir well, replace the lid and cook for another 20 mins.
Now add your chilli beans ( you can use kidney beans or mexican beans). Stir well, replace lid and cook for a final 20 mins.
Take out of the oven and spoon into bowls or serve how you wish.
