You Will Need (10 things)
- Brad(s)
- Stuffing
- Ribbon
- Pin(s)
- Scissors
- Needle & Thread
- Button(s)
- Red Felt
- Light brown Felt
- Orange Felt
Steps (6 steps, 60 minutes)
-
1
Cut two of A in light brown felt to make the robin's body.
Cut one of B in red felt to make the breast.
Cut two of C for the legs and feet.
Cut one of D for the beak.
The scale is up to you, but I'd say a good size would be to fit him in the palm of your hand. -
2
Stitch B on one layer of A in backstitch.
-
3
Sew on little assorted red buttons.
-
4
Stitch on D in backstitch, position as a beak. Use black brads or seed beads for the eyes.
-
5
Sew on the other layer of A in backstitch close to the edges. Sew a small length of folded ribbon for a hanger and the two C's for legs as you work your way around. Make sure you leave a small gap to stuff your robin, then sew up the hole.
