This is a rag wreath that I made for our front door this past December. I wanted a pretty and festive wreath but didn't have the money to buy one this year and wasn't even sure to be able to find one here in Argentina. I made this wreath out of scraps of fabric that I had at home, in Christmas colours, and cut into strips about 5 cm x 20 cm (though you can cut them shorter or longer to get different looks for your wreath). I then tied each strip tightly to an old wire that I asked my husband to wrap into a circle (you can also use an old wire coat hanger). Each strip should be tied close together, one next to the other, and pull the strip bits up to the front, leaving the knot bit at the back of the wreath. This takes quite a while but the more strips you tied, the fuller your wreath will look. Have fun and try fabric strips in different colours and patterns for other festive times of the year!!! (Easter, birthdays, etc.)
