first you need your chopsticks (you can get them free at an asian restaurant or from the foreign foods aisle at a grocery store) once you have the chopsticks you want to sharpen the ends with a pencil sharpener (this prevents tearing out you hair when you try to put them in)
next you may want to cut the chopsticks shorter because they may be longer than the average hairstick (i tend to skin this step because i dont mind, plus im lazy)
one trimmed you can paint them any way you want in any style you want (dont forget the embellishments: wire, ribbon, beads, charms, or whatever you choose)
