Velvet Sleeping Mask
A very easy way to make a sleeping mask out of fabric leftovers

Due to problems with the sewing machine my sleeping mask got a bit asymmetrical (as you can see).
If you like a thicker material better than this, try to strengthen it with iron-in interfacing (Vlieseline).

You Will Need (4 things)
- Elastic Velvet
- Sewing Pins
- Sewing Machine
- Sewing Yarn
Steps (4 steps, 60 minutes)
-
1
Print the pattern (see above) and pin it to the fabric. Fold the fabric. So you get two layers.
Give a seam allowance of about 1cm. Cut it out. -
2
Then pin both pieces at each other so that the right side is inside. Then sew them together but make two gaps at the sides.
-
3
Cut another piece of fabric: 45 cm x 6 cm (The length depends on the size of your head)
Pin the right sides together and sew it. Pull one end of the ribbon through the other to get the right sides outside. -
4
Sew the ends of the ribbons to the mask. I would recommend doing this by hand and not with the sewing machine, because it is much easier and you can sew it in a way that nobody can see the stitches.
And your done!
