Steps (3 steps, 90 minutes)

  1. 1

So essentially, we start make 2 pieces per ear--the outside, and the inside.

    The outside piece is
    CO 20 Stitches
    Knit across
    s1, k1, p2, knit to last 4 stitches, p2, k2
    s1, p1, k2, purl to last 4 stitches, k2, p2
Continue as such for about half an inch/6 or so rows; switch colours for another half an inch/6 or so rows. Switch back.
    After another 4 rows, s1, k1, p2, ssk, knit to last 6 stitched, k2tog, p2, k2
    s1, p1, k2, purl to last 4 stitches, k2, p2
Continue until the two cables meet (8 stitches left)
    s1, k1, p2, ssk, k2tog, p2, k2
    s1, k2, purl to last 4 stitches, k2, p2

Continue decreasing the 'knit' rows by two until one stitch is left. Finish.

  2. 2

The 'Inside' piece will fit in the middle of the outside piece, in-between the two cables.
    s1, knit across
    s1, purl across
Continue as such for about an inch and a half/14 or so rows/where you place the inside on the outside, where the outside starts to turn in.

    s1, ssk, knit to last 3 stitched, k2tog, k1
    s1, purl to the end
Continue until there is 1 stitch left, finish.

  3. 3

Sew the inside piece into the outside piece. Weave in ends.

Run bobby pins through the bottom rows, and pin to hair!
