This is a festive cheesecake. It is pretty easy to make & you can add different nuts if you wish. It is best made the day before & refrigerated overnight.
This is a festive cheesecake. It is pretty easy to make & you can add different nuts if you wish. It is best made the day before & refrigerated overnight.
Heat oven 300/150 degrees. Mix cheese, flour & sugar. Mix well.
Add eggs, one at a time. Beat to incorporate. Don't get too much air into the mixture.
Add the vanilla & stir through.
Add sour cream, cinnamon & honey. Mix well.
Grease the 9" tin. Wrap the outside in foil. Layer the filo into the tin with the melted butter.
Add the cheesecake mixture in.
Bake in the oven in a water bath for approximately 1 hr. Turn oven off & leave the cheesecake in the oven with the door closed for another 30 mins. Open the oven door & leave the cake for another 20 mins.
Cool the cake in the fridge.
Mix together the topping. 1 1/4 cup walnuts & 1 tsp cinnamon, 4 tbsp honey & 2 tbsp melted butter.
pour the nut mixture on top of the cheesecake.
Cut & serve.
