This is a cute project - geared towards fall - that makes a cheeseboard really adorable and special all while marking what is actually on the board. It's a fun, easy project!

You Will Need (7 things)

  • Gourds
  • Chalk
  • Mini Dowels
  • Short Tongue Depressor Boards
  • Chalkboard Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Glue Gun

Steps (4 steps, 45 minutes)

  1. 1

    A photo of the supplies.

  2. 2

Paint your wooden board and dowel black. Be sure to get the sides and back of the board so that no black is showing anywhere.
Once the pieces are dry, hot glue the dowels to the back of the boards.

  3. 3

Once the hot glue sets, write your cheese names or cheese board elements on the cheese board markers.

  4. 4

Firmly press the dowel into the gourd. If you are using real gourds, you may want to pre-punch a hole so that you do not break your dowel. Follow suit with each one of your markers.
Put your cheese board together and enjoy!
