I created the charms from twisty ties (from such things as bread). Using a lighter I burnt the plastic or paper covering down to the wire or stripped off by hand. (the flame worked a lot faster, but left me to deal with a bit of ash.) Then using my hands and needle nose pliers I bent and manipulated the wire pieces into the charms (heart, flower, tree of life, peace sign, and mermaid). I attached the homemade charms and a few old earring cast offs to the bracelet I created to fit my wrist from jewelry making chain and rings. All the charms are recycled from old jewelry or cast off pieces of wire. http://craftrebel.blogspot.com/2011/03/misc-jewelry-creations.html
