I have this problem. I love looking at homewares. I love pinning them. I love sharing them. I love shopping them. But for some reason I can rarely bring myself to buy. Why? It’s a big investment. What if it doesn’t look right? And what if I see something else that I like better? Which I invariably do, then I get major buyer’s remorse… it’s a vicious cycle. I’m getting better, but I still need some help. That’s why I devised this cheap and easy quick craft that I can change to suit my mood!

This one requires a little bit of pre-planning. Choose an area that you want to brighten up or add some cool patterns to. Eyeball the sizes of the stuff you’ve already got there and decide how large you want to go with your document stands. I have a display that’s similar to the one pictured at my house, it’s very monochrome.
Purchase the stands and paper, keeping in mind the area and your goals. I chose to go with a red and a teal to make a different with the photos. I’ve kept the teal up though. Fave colour alert!
Trim the paper to the size of the stand and insert.
Colour or draw a pattern, word or border onto the front of the stand (not onto the paper). The beauty of doing it this way is that you can change the drawing on the front, but not the paper, simply by wiping it away.
Style away! What do you think? I love this DIY because I can change it whenever I want depending on my mood, and it will be cheap, easy and effective.
