you will need a small cereal box to use as a pattern. take the box apart and cut off one of the larger rectangles. you are now ready to begin. i also will have kits for making 3 sizes of trays available in my shop this weekend.

cut out 2 rectangles of canvas using your pattern. if you use material other than canvas, you will want to iron on some heavy to medium weight fusible lining to act as a stiffener. lay the 2 rectangles right sides facing and pin in place.
sew around the rectangle using a 1/4 to 1/2 inch seam allowance leaving a 3 inch opening for turning. trim corners and turn right side out. gently push out the corners and give it a good iron.
edge stitch around the entire rectangle. next pinch one of the corners together, measure in 1 inch and pin in place. repeat with other 3 corners.
sew straight down from the pin several times to make sure everything stays secure.
done. enjoy. gift. finished size : L7 x W5 x H1 inch
