Ceramic Tile Coasters

Purchase a ceramic tile from any hardware store for about 35 cents. Go to your local craft shop and purchase these supplies: 110 lb card stock, roll of cork board, mod podge, a sponge brush, E-6000, black sharpie and indoor/outdoor acrylic spray sealer.
First you need to find an image you would like to use. I created my own digital artwork. Be sure the image is 4" X 4". Print out your image and then cut it out. If you have a black tile, color the edges of the tile where it is white with a sharpie marker. I use one with a broad tip.
Next, take you cork board and measure 4" X 4". Cut it out.
Turn your ceramic tile over and squirt some E-6000 on the back. I use the raised grooves as a template to place my glue on.
Apply your cork board to it that you just cut out.
Turn it over and apply some pressure to be sure the cork board sticks really well.
Now you will take your image along with your sponge brush and apply some mod podge to the back of the image. Apply the image to the front of the ceramic tile. Make sure the back of your paper is completely covered with mod podge to avoid air bubbles. Once you have it centered the way you like it, be sure to smooth over it to make sure there are no air bubbles, brush some mod podge over the top of the picture as well as the visible part of the ceramic. Do this in a horizontal motion. Now do it in a vertical motion then in another horizontal motion. Note that brush strokes will appear but it adds to the uniqueness of the tile. Let it completely dry.
Once the tile is dry, you will need to take your tile outside and spray the tile with your acrylic sealer. After the first coat dries, apply a second. Once the second coat dries then apply a third and let dry for 24 hours.
