Seen your CD collection lately? Finding a lot of crappy mix CDs and ones of bands that are dead and gone? Recycle your unwanted CDs into some snazzy earrings. Start by cutting the CD with tin snips into large pieces. I wouldn't recommend scissors because CDs are stronger than you might think. Drill the top of identical pieces and insert jump rings and earring hooks with pilers (i just used my fingers to pry them open). For a really cool look pop the CDs into the microwave and nuke them in 5 second increments for a cracked crystal look (THIS MUST BE DONE BEFORE PUTTING THE METAL JUMP RINGS AND HOOKS ON!!!! The CD will spark but wont do anything harmful to your microwave except making it smell for an hour)! Experiment with colored CD (you know? the ones with the blue backs?) and be creative. Glue some sparkles or sequins on. Try painting on the earrings. GO CRAZY :D If you have any questions or concerns feel free to comment
