I have seen other similar items for sale and thought I'd make one myself from recycled stuff! It's supposed to help simulate scavenging activities cats would naturally do in the wild which helps fight off the summer boredom for indoor kitties.

Gather your supplies!
I'm using an old priority postal box form the USPS. The pictures shows the inner measurements (ID) and outside measurements (OD) of the box in inches.
The tubes I'm using are from 6 inch Deco Mesh I bought at the Dollar Tree.
Measure the largest toy you want to put in the box this is important to make sure your holes are big enough to get it in and out.
I drew out template pieces using the ball's measurement in the design of Tetris pieces.
Using the craft knife, cut out the pieces from the top layer of the box. Leave spaces for the tubes.
Cut the tubes to the inside height of the box. Then glue tubes inside the box to add support at different intervals. You might want to paint the tubes before gluing them in to make the painting easier. I added 5 to mine because the box was pretty weak after cutting out all the holes.
Paint the box and let dry. Then, glue the box closed and add toys.
Add some cats and get ready for a good laugh :)
