I decided to embrace my inner cat lady and intense need for organisation by giving my underwear a Cat Of The Week makeover. It might sound a little loopy but it gives me something to smile at when folding laundry and makes packing for a trip away a breeze.
I decided to embrace my inner cat lady and intense need for organisation by giving my underwear a Cat Of The Week makeover. It might sound a little loopy but it gives me something to smile at when folding laundry and makes packing for a trip away a breeze.
Lay your underwear, front down on a flat surface.
Fold the left hand side into the middle by a third.
Then fold the right hand side into the middle by a third.
Now fold the bottom edge up by a third.
Fold the bottom up by another third until you have a neat little rectangle.
Flip over so the front is facing forward and mark a line along the middle with a chalk pen.
Unfold the underwear and fold in half vertically, marking the very middle point with an cross.
Fold your underwear inside out and cut a rectangle of stabiliser.
Iron the stabiliser onto the back of your underwear and the fold inside out again.
Line up your underwear in your embroidery hoop. You can either machine or hand embroidery your underwear, or if you're no good at sewing, skip out the embroidery all together and print the day on transfer paper.
Embroider with the day of the week, or if you want to be punny, come up with a fun pun. For my Cat Of The Week pants, I went with: Meowday Tunaday Whiskerday Purrsday Furiday Caturday Sunlazeday
Find some cute cat images and print onto transfer paper.
Cut out the cats, position on your underwear and iron on.
Repeat for the rest of your set.
Refold into a neat rectangle and you're all done.
Feel super organized and calm as you look down on your super neat cat-lady approved underwear drawer!
