Cardboard Party Decorations

Recycle your cardboard turn it into a neat decoration for any holiday or party

if you have some cardboard scraps or whole boxes lying around and your like me and hate to waste, turn them into some cute themed party decorations or some festive holiday garlands you can do so many things with them, and its fairly easy to do. it takes a little time to cut out all the pieces but its nice to have and they are pretty durable so you can use them and keep re-using them :]

You Will Need (6 things)

  • Paint Brush
  • Hole Punch
  • orange,green,white, black Acrylic Paint
  • to hang them of course String
  • i used glitter glue and glittery fingernail art paint Glitter Glue
  • Cardboard

Steps (5 steps, 60 minutes)

    Draw out the shape of the thing you want to make on the cardboard, i have Halloween decorations in the picture but on my example i'm doing a rose for my friends slightly Spanish themed party. when finished cut it out or use and exact-o knife...they are amazingly handy. if you need large spaces to work with skip to step two and then cut out.

    Next very carefully fill in the spaces of your figure so as your not covering your lines it doesn't matter so much on something not as complex like the skull or the bat since its completely black

    After you fill in the spaces carefully paint black lines around in this case all the petals and around the edges you don't have to go around the edges but i like how it looks so i usually do that

    glitter glue around some of the edges just to add a nice little sparkle it looks particularly nice if your hanging them on lights.

    hole punch it and tie a little bit of string in it or use an ornament hanger and hang it on a wire or strings of lights i like to tie multiple ones together to get different lengths
