Chewy and sweet, this turkish delight is infused with cardamom gin to give it a surprising spicy twist.
Stir together the sugar, cornflour, water, gin in a sauce pan and squeeze in the lemon juice. You can add a couple of drops of yellow food colouring if you wanted your candy to have a vibrant colour!
Heat and stir until the candy begins to simmer. Turn down the heat a little if it begins to boil.
After about 15 minutes, the candy should be starting to thicken but still be easy enough to strip. Remove it from the heat and stir in the packet of vege-gel.
Coat a small baking tin with cling film and pour in the candy, leaving it to set for a couple of hours.
Cut into bite size cubes and enjoy! Tip: it can be quick tricky to cut but I used a pair of kitchen scissors which made it much easier.
