I had the pleasure of living in Utah for a while and was introduced to many new recipes and one of my families favorite were Oreo Balls. Fudgy and chocolatey these are decadent bites that hit the chocolate craving spot! Keep them in your freezer and they make great quick gifts or treats for the kids. Put them on sticks and they are a hit at every party. Using the Wilton candy melts, lollipop sticks and treat bags these come together fast!

Grab 20 Oreos and 4 oz. cream cheese and mix in your food processor until it looks like the photo. Put in a bowl and put in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
After the "dough" has chilled roll a heaping tablespoonful into a ball and place on wax paper. This will yield approximately 16 balls. Now they go into the freezer for at least an hour.
Melt half of the bag of candy cane melts in a bowl over a pot of simmering water. This is the easiest way to keep the chocolate melted while you are dipping the balls.
Using the lollipop sticks pierce a ball and dip into the chocolate. Use a spoon to get the melted chocolate around the stick so it stays put. When it is covered in chocolate put stick into a styrofoam block and let set. Continue until all are covered. I refrigerate after they are all dipped.
Wrap in treat bags and tie with a ribbon. I attach little notes of cheer on each one. These are handy to keep by the door to give away.
