I usually doodle girls like this during boring meetings. This was a try to make them come to life. I glued them on a vase but they'd also make pretty cards. Give them wings and a halo and they are good to go on a Christmas card.

Download and print the pieces or draw your own. Trace all parts on transparant paper in different colours and cut the pieces out. I used Cromatico transparent paper by Thibierge & Comar papetiers. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a sample booklet.
Glue the pieces of the dress, sleeves and hair on lace and cut out. The lace behind the paper gives a nice structure. Glue the faces on a light pink felt and cut out.
Assemble the pieces, leave the head loose from the body.
I added the sleeves by glueing a piece of paper over the body and the sleeves.
Add a scarf made of felt to cover the assembling. Just cross two stripes together.
Use a marker to give her a cute face and for painting the shoes.
Glue your girls and the umbrella's on a vase and use rubber bands to keep them in place until the glue is dry. Remove the rubber bands by cutting them, don't try to remove them any other way because the paper is quite delicate.
You can light the candle now.
