Cake Face To Clean Face: Dollie Repaint

Repaint Dollies to be more child friendly

You probably grew up with Barbie, and now your children (or your friends' children, or possibly even you) are growing up with Bratz/MonsterHigh dollies. Each of these, including our own Barbies, are given factory makeup that is caked on. You may like this, and that is fine. For the others, the ones reading this and wanting to make their own 'refaced' dollies, here are a few steps. My favourite source for information is from Nicolle's Dreams: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2Et29eOO7ZKqJZ-VrSWsMA This came from many different sources. Instructions

  1. Remove the factory make up. If you don't think that you have the skill to repaint the eyes, don't worry. Just remove the makeup from around the eyes (for this you will need a steady hand and a Q-tip).

  2. Small 107652 2f2015 02 24 074646 img 1394 5b1 5d

Look at the difference that makes! At this point, I chose to keep the hair as it was, but I did attempt to wash out some of the shine (I used shampoo for this). This had the added benefit of getting rid of the knots!

  3. Small 107652 2f2015 02 24 074821 img 1403 5b2 5d

Now, after the makeup is removed, there are a few options that one could take. If you are just beginning and/or have little confidence in your ability to place and size the features of the face correctly, you can paint to the size/location that is indented. I suffer from overconfidence, so I just painted away. You may also want to draw out the features of the face (I drew the eyebrows and that was about it)
