This is a fun little project that moves fast! In a short bit of time, you can make a bunch of these bookmarks. Give them to your teachers, your favorite reader, or do like I do and use them to mark your file folders.

The style of buttons you need are shank buttons. You will want to pre cut the felt into smaller pieces, large enough to cover your buttons.
Hook the buttons onto the paper clip and slide them to the end with one loop.
Put a blob of hot glue on the back of the button to hold the paper clip in place.
Quickly put the felt over the glue and press down. In hindsight, I could have cut my felt smaller.
Repeat until you have finished all your bookmarks.
Trim the felt around the button. The goal is basically to cover the glue blob.
A lighter will help the felt to draw up from the edges. Work fast though; you don't want to scorch the felt or your buttons.
Go read a good book and be sure to use one of your fabulous bookmarks. Make extra to share!
