Scored a very cheap pair of shoes form a certain 'big, red barn' in NZ. Covered them in MOD PODGE (glossy) and sprinkled glitter on - 3 coats of glitter and 2 days later taa-daa!! I only used one and a half pottles of fine glitter from a $1,2,3 shop. I used Mod Podge as the sealer as a final layer - use the glossy version as I'm sure it adds to the sparkle of the glitter! Oh and a light roughing up with sandpaper will help the glue stick.
