These are home made buns. They are not as light as the shop bought ones but at least you know what's went into them.
These are home made buns. They are not as light as the shop bought ones but at least you know what's went into them.
Mix together water, milk, yeast & sugar.
In a bowl rub together the flours, salt & butter.
Stir in the yeast mixture & 1 egg.
Mix together until a dough forms, 5-8 mins.
Form into a ball. Cover with cling film & leave to rise until double in size.
Knock back the dough & divide into 8 portions.
Roll the dough into circles. Place on a tray. Leave to rise again.
Heat oven 400/200 degrees. Brush rolls with beaten egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake for 15-20 mins until cooked through.
Remove from the oven & cool completely before serving.
