I don't use my bread machine to bake bread, I just don't like the way the crusts come out. I do use it to make dough for rolls, cinnamon rolls, hawaiian rolls and my sons favorite pizza. I can make 4 med pizzas for around 8 bucks.

My Son observes lent so no meat on friday for him cheese pizza

You Will Need (16 things)

  • For the dough :
  • ⅗ cup lukewarm Water
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced or pressed
  • 1 tsp dried Basil
  • 1 tsp dried Oregano
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 2 cup Bread Flour
  • 1 tsp active dry Yeast
  • For the sauce :
  • 6 -8 fresh roma Tomatoes or 1 can 28 oz. italian plum tomatoes rinsed and drained
  • 1 clove Garlic minced or pressed
  • 2 tsp dried Oregano or 2 T. fresh
  • 1 tsp dried Basil or 1 T. fresh
  • ¼ tsp crushed red Pepper Flakes
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Steps (2 steps, 40 minutes)

    Thin Crust Dough

    run the dough cycle and when its done its ready to be rolled out. I have found that if I wrap it in cling wrap and chill it for an hour its easier to handle. The door will keep in the frig up to a week.

    Basic Pizza Sauce

    Seed tomatoes by cutting off stem top and squeezing them over a bowl to remove seeds and juice. Process in blender for just a moment to chop coarsely. Add seasonings to taste. If using right away, it need not be cooked, but if refrigerated or frozen simmer over low for 5 to 10 minutes. Sauce may be tightly sealed and refrigerated for up to a week.

    Preheat oven to 500 for 30 minutes. Roll out dough put on toppings and bake for around 8 minutes. This is not like soggy pizza hut pizza this is a crisper pizza. My family prefers it.
