The stainless steel in a discarded washing machine drum is wonderfully versatile. The 1/4 size cast iron pot always poses a challenge to keep it simmering. A brazier of the appropriate size is the answer. Use gloves the stainless steel edges are sharp!!

Cut out one panel from the drum using snips or an angle grinder.
Roll the material to form a cylinder of the appropriate diameter and fasten the overlap together with 4mm stainless steel set screws and nuts - the countersunk ones are perfect but not essential.
Place the cylinder in a earthenware drip saucer for potted plants. I found a perfect size for the project. Then pour a concrete mix into the saucer and let it set.
Light some charcoal chunks inside the cylinder and place your pot on the top. This will burn at an even temperature for hours!
