Part your hair down the middle all the way to the nape of your neck.
Braid each side. I favor fishtails but a classic three stranded braid is awesome too!
Secure ends with a small hair tie. The smaller the hair tie the easier it'll be to hide it.
Pull the braids "apart" width wise to make them wider and fluffier.
Pull one side over and position where you want it. Sometimes during this step, the "bangs" or straight portion of your upbraided hair will push itself forward awkwardly onto your face...since we haven't secured it yet, this is the step to also arrange the straight portion of hair before we pin it. I usually tuck back some of that hair so that the braid is holding it in place exactly where I want it!
Pin along the length of the braid to hold in place. Push the pins into the braid, almost weaving them in between the turns so that they are hidden.
Bring the other side over and do the same, making sure that you cover the hair tie end of your other side.
Tuck the remaining hair tie end under the braid...if you need to remove a pin to tuck it, do it! Then just re-secure.
Pull out a few strategic hairs in front to give your style that relaxed feel!
