For this necklace I used a metal wire from a brassiere as the foundation onto which I crocheted some flowers and leaves and made quite a unique necklace.

Take the wire and crochet single crochets from one end to the other. Stop near the edges and secure by tying.
Crochet some flat flowers. I made two of each color.
Sandwich the wire with each flower 'pad' and stitch all around to secure it.
Or you may crochet some more expressive flowers and stitch them onto the wire.
Crochet two ties that you are going to attach to the wire as closure of the necklace.
And that's it! If you are interested in making one with fabric, do visit my blog for some <a href="http://thelittletreasures.blogspot.com/2011/01/brassiere-wire-necklaces-how-to.html">more ideas</a>
