- assorted small lengths of Ribbon
- Bobby Pins
- 9 Gems / Something Sparkly
- beading Lace
Steps (24 steps, 30 minutes)
-
1
to make the basic ribbon bow, first make two loops in your ribbon, forming a 'U' shape. cross over the loops like so.
-
2
take the loop on to and bring it through the hole, like you're knotting it.
-
3
pull both loops to form a bow shape.
-
4
trim the ends to a point, then make repeat to make an identical bow.
-
5
glue a bobby pin on the back of each one like so.
-
6
to make the double ribbon bows, repeat steps 1-4 but working two strands of ribbon rather than 1.
-
7
glue a bobby pin on the back of each one
-
8
to make the fat bow, cut two pieces of wide ribbon 16cm long.
-
9
glue short edges to make a 'ring'
-
10
wrap some thin ribbon round the centre and glue in place.
-
11
if you want to, glue a sparkly on to each one like so.
-
12
glue a bobby pin on to each one
-
13
to make the beading lace bow, cut two pieces of beading lace and two strips of thin ribbon, each 13cm long.
-
14
thread the ribbon through the lace and use a little glue to secure each end.
-
15
glue the short edges to form a ring.
-
16
use a bit of the thin ribbon to form the centre.
-
17
glue a bobby pin on to each one
-
18
to make the double patterned bow, measure a strip of patterned ribbon and a strip of looped ribbon, each 27cm long.
-
19
use a thin layer of glue to glue the patterned ribbon on top of the looped, so only the loops show from underneath.
-
20
cut this in half.
-
21
glue the short edges to form a ring
-
22
measure 2 strips of patterned ribbon and two of looped ribbon, each 12cm long.
-
23
glue these on the centre back, patterned ribbon first. trim the edges- making the patterned ribbon a bit shorter to show the plain looped ribbon underneath. use a little thin ribbon for the centre of the bow. the loop will be stiff from all the glue, so it's better to fold it length ways when attaching the centre.

glue a bobby pin on the back of each bow!
