This is a new take on a Boston Cream Cake. It is moist & morish. It is really easy to make. You can use store bought custard or make up your own home made.
This is a new take on a Boston Cream Cake. It is moist & morish. It is really easy to make. You can use store bought custard or make up your own home made.
Cream butter & sugar together.
Add eggs, one at a time & mix thoroughly.
Add flour & baking powder. Stir to combine.
Bake at 160 degrees for approx 30 mins.
Make up the custard.
When cake is cooked, remove from the oven. Poke holes all over the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon.
Pour the custard over the cake. Set aside to cool.
Heat the cream until just scolded.
Add the chocolate to the cream & cover with cling film. Set aside for approx 5 mins.
Stir to combine & set aside to cool a little.
Pour over the custard layer. Set aside to cool & set.
Serve cold.
