This is the Boudicca costume I wore for Halloween in 2009. A lot of this was premade, just assembling the right pieces together. My mother helped find the pieces and did the make-up with blue eyeliner. You can't see it very well here, but I'm wearing fur bracers, leg warmers, a sort of Greek style gold arm cuff (it's supposed to be Iceni) a sort of leather bra thing, a doeskin-type sack dress, probably meant to be a Pocahontas/Native type outfit originally and big furry boots, a furry vest, and a leather necklace/collar thing, along with a cheap plastic sword because I lost a historical debate with my mother about whether or not the Iceni would've wielded battle-axes. ("But she's a Briton! The Britons LOVED axes!" "The Iceni used SWORDS!" I really wanted an axe, you see, but my mother insisted on historical accuracy and made me research the costume before she would help me.) I'm a history nerd so I have a minor obsession with being historical and mythological characters for Halloween. I've dressed up as Cleopatra, Persephone, medieval women, and am contemplating a conquistador or Three Musketeers costume this year.
